1. Season

:

Throughout the year under irrigated condition. Suitable

 

for growing in the monsoon season under rainfed condition.

 

 

2. Soil

:

All types of soils with good drainage.

 

 

3. Preparatory
    cultivation

:

Plough 2 to 3 times to obtain a good tilth and form

 

ridges and furrows 50 cm apart.

 

 

4. Manures and fertilizers

:

Basal

 

FYM        -           12.5 tonnes/ha

 

NPK         -           25: 20: 12 kg/ha

 

 

 

Top Dressing

 

25 kg N on 30th day after sowing

 

 

5. Seed rate

:

10 kg/ha

 

 

6. Spacing

:

25 x 10 cm (sowing on both sides of the ridges)

 

 

7. Weed Management

Hand weeding on 30 days after sowing

Immediately after planting and life irrigation on 3rd day.
