Plants stunted with reduced tillering.
Leaves narrow, short, very erect ‘ dirty ’ dark green.  Stems thin and spindly.  Older leaves turn brown red and purple colors develop in leaves. 

Application of P fertilizer 15-30 kg P ha-1 to the soil, Rock phosphate broadcast before flooding when soil pH is low.

Foilar application of 2% DAP (10 g /lit) two times at 15 days interval (2kg of DAP should be soaked in 20 lit of water over night filter the solution in the next days morning.
Add one kit of solution per tank (10 lit tank) and 20 tank (200lit) should be spa=rayed for an acre).
