Deficiency Symptoms

Dieback of the leaf tips followed by death of the leaf edges which progresses downward.  Older leaves orange-yellow with numerous chlorotic spots.  General browning death of the leaf results referred to as "firing". Upper surfaces of midribs show reddish discoloration.  Young leaves remain dark green.  Growth  depressed and slender stalks are produced .

Correction Measure

Foliar spray of KCl 1% twice at fortnightly interval
