27. MEDIUM TERM DEMAND FINANCE FACILITY (D/F)


1. LEASE FINANCE FACILITY FOR PURCHASE OF TRACTOR UNDER GREEN TRACTOR SCHEME 2008-2009

Top

Eligibility:

  • All Farmers who have been declared successful through computerized balloting.
  • The applicant should be a resident, owner/self cultivator of minimum 05 Acres of
  • agri land free from all encumbrances. Existing BOP borrowers having land under 
  • Bank's charge are also eligible under this scheme.
  • The applicant should not be a defaulter of any Financial Institution

Price of Tractor:

The price of Green Tractor would be less by RS: 200,000/- from market price of tractor. Subsidy of RS: 200,000/- will be provided by Govt. of Punjab directly to Tractor Manufacturers.

Make of Tractor:

Government of Punjab has approved M/s Millat Tractors (Pvt.) Ltd. and Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited as Local Manufacturers of tractors for the scheme.

Repayment:

10 Equal Half Yearly Installments (Principal + Mark up).


2. KISAN DOST AGREE FINANCE SCHEMES

Top

Purpose: 

Provision of financial facility to farmers for purchase of inputs (Seed, fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides e.t.c).

Eligibility:   

Resident Self Cultivator having Agriculture Land minimum 5 acres and maximum 50 acres. The applicant should not be defaulter of any other Bank and property should be free from any encumbrances. 

Amount:     

Maximum Rs.500,000/- according to per acre limit of the crop.

Repayment:

Once in a year along with mark up.


3. KISAN DOST TRACTOR FINANCE SCHEMES

Top

Purpose:     

Provision of financial facility to the farmers and non farmers (those who provide tractors to farmers on rental basis for various tractor related operations), for purchase of Tractor on Lease Finance Basis.

Eligibility:   

Resident Self Cultivator having Agriculture Land minimum 5 acres and maximum 50 acres. 
OR        
The persons who are related with the business of providing services for tractor 
related farming practices to the farmers on rental Basis.

Amount:             

Maximum Rs. 750,000/-.

Repayment:   

10 equal half yearly installments (within five years).


4. SECOND HAND TRACTORS LEASING FINANCE SCHEME

Top

Purpose:  

Leasing out Used/Second hand tractors to farmers. The Tractor would be unencumbered and should not be more than three years old maintaining good condition.

Eligibility:  

Resident Self Cultivator having Agriculture Land minimum of 5 acres and maximum 50 acres.   

Amount:

Maximum Rs.400, 000/-

Repayment:

Half yearly installments. (Minimum two and maximum six half yearly  installments).


5. KISAN DOST AABRARI SCHEME

Top

Purpose: 

Installation of Tube well, turbines etc.

Eligibility:

Resident Self Cultivator having Agriculture Land minimum 5 acres and maximum 50 acres.

Amount:       

Maximum Rs 500,000/-.

Equity:          

20% of the cost of project will be paid by the borrower.

Repayment: 

8-10 equal half yearly (within four to five years).


6. MECHANIZATION SUPPORT SCHEME

Top

Purpose:

Purchase of Agricultural Implements e.g. Trolley, thresher, plough, richer etc.

Eligibility:    

Resident Self Cultivator having Agriculture Land measuring 5 acres to maximum 50 acres.

Amount:      

Maximum Rs.500,000/-.

Repayment:

8 equal half yearly installments (within four years).


7. KISAN DOST FARM TRANSPORT SCHEME

Top

Purpose:    

Provision of financial facility to the farmers for purchase of Farm Transport Vehicles e.g. Small Pickups, Vans and small chillers.

Eligibility:  

Resident Self Cultivator having Agriculture Land minimum 5 acres and maximum 50 acres.     

Amount:    

Maximum Rs.500,000/-.

Equity:        

20% of the cost of Vehicle will be paid by the borrower.

Repayment:

10 equal half yearly installments (within five years).


8. KISAN DOST ESLAH-E-ARAZI SCHEME

Top

Purpose:

Provision of financial facility to the farmers for development of their non productive lands into productive ones by conductive on farm works of Land leveling, laser leveling, and land improvement, clearance of jungle and land reclamation.

Eligibility:

Resident Self Cultivator having Agriculture Land minimum 5 acres and maximum 50 acres.

Amount:

Maximum Rs.500,000/-.

Repayment:

8-10 equal half yearly installments (within four to five years).


9. KISAN DOST LIVE STOCK DEVELOPMENT SCHEME

Top

Purpose:

Provision of financial facility for purchase of animals (Milk & meat production, cattle farming, Poultry Farming and Fish farming) to the farmers and non farmers (those who have their own live stock farm/fish farm for commercial purposes)

Eligibility:

Sufficient experience to handle Dairy Farm, Cattle Farm, Goat Farm, Poultry and Fish Farming. The persons who have their self owned Dairy Farms for production of milk on commercial basis).The applicant should be having adequate arrangements to sell out the products properly e.g. supply contract with milk processing company.

Amount:

80% of cost of animals (Maximum facility can be granted upto 50% of forced sale value of property).

Repayment:

16 equal quarterly installments within four years excluding one year dry period.

10. LIVE STOCK SCHEME 
 (FINANCE FOR LIVE STOCK BREED IMPROVEMENT THROUGH VILLAGE VETERINARY-VVW)

Top

Purpose:      

Provision of financial facility to the Village Veterinary Workers (trained by Live Stock and Dairy Development Department) for purchase of Artificial Insemination kits on lease finance basis.

Eligibility:    

Village Veterinary Workers having diploma certificate and recommendations from Live Stock and Dairy Development Department, Govt. of Punjab.

Amount:

Maximum Rs.45,000/- or 90% of purchase price of kit and bicycle.

Repayment:

Equal monthly or quarterly installments (within five years).


11. KISAN DOST COMMERCIAL AGRO SERVICES FINANCE SCHEME

Top

Purpose:      

Agri implements and equipments i.e. tractor trolleys, harvesters etc. for providing agri services to farmers.

Eligibility:  

Commercially viable entities with immaculate track record with the Bank/Other financial institutions.

Amount:       

Not to exceed 80% of the value of equipments/implements.

Repayment: 

Equal quarterly installments (within five years).


12. KISAN DOST AGRI MALL FINANCE SCHEME

Top

Purpose of Finance:

Four renowned companies of the country such as M/S Ali Akbar Group, Millat Tractors, PSO and Engro Services have established a joint venture company in the name of the Agrimall (Pvt) Ltd to provide agro services under one roof through its Franchisees. 

The farmers who will be the clients of Franchisees, will also be provided production loans through Bank’s Kissan Dost Agriculture Finance Scheme.

13. CORPORATE FARMING FINANCE SCHEME MODE AND PURPOSE OF FINANCE

Top

I.  Fund Based Facilities:

Following fund based facilities can be provided under this scheme.

1. Agricultural Finance Facility (Purchase of crop inputs i.e. seed, fertilizer,pesticides, fungicides etc.)
2. Tractor Finance Facility (For purchase of maximum two tractors on lease finance basis).
3. Finance for Farm Mechanization (For purchase of Farm Mechanization Machinery, Tools and implements on lease finance basis).
4. Finance for Farm Aabiari (For installation of tube wells and adoption of modern irrigation systems on lease finance basis).
5. Finance for Farm Transport (For purchase of Small pick-ups and loader for Farm Transportation).
6. Finance for Live Stock Development (Purchase of animals for Dairy Farms, Poultry Farms and Fish Farms).
7. Finance for Islah-e-Arazi (Land development, improvement and reclamation).

Any of all above facilities can be provided as a package deal.

II.  Non Fund Based Facility:

1. Opening of Letters of credit for import of farm related agriculture goods for corporate farming e.g. inputs, machinery, tools, implements and Vehicles etc.

2. Issuance of Bank guarantee for purchase of farm related commodities e.g. inputs, machinery, tools, implements, and Vehicles etc.

Eligibility:

1. Resident Self Cultivator doing corporate farming on an area not less than 50 acres of agri  land.
2. Self Cultivator cum Tenant having total farming area not less than 50 acres of agri land (owned and leased). The Lease Agreement for lease hold area should be valid and for  reasonable tenure.
3. Tenant having valid lease agreement for reasonable tenure for not less than area of 50 acres agri land. 

Following persons will not be eligible for the said scheme:

1. The applicant who is not a genuine farmer.
2. The applicant’s whose name does not appear in the Revenue records.
3. The applicant should not be defaulter of the banking system.
4. The applicant is unable to produce proper security/securities/passbook.etc

Amount of Facility:

The amount of facility will be based on value of security provided and future Cash Flows from the avenues on which the funds will be invested.

In order to assess the amount of future cash flows following aspects should taken into consideration:

1. Past three year’s output of the farm under cultivation with the applicant.
2. Future expected output of the farm.
3. Complete Feasibility Report of the project.


14. COMMERCIAL LEASE FINANCE TRACTOR SCHEME

Top

Purpose:

For Purchase of Tractors to be used in Agri related activities.

Eligibility:

Farmers, self-employed persons/firms/companies/institutions related directly or indirectly related with Agri Business.

Amount of Finance:

The amount of finance will be 80% of purchase price of the Tractor and lessee/borrower will contribute 20% equity towards the purchase price of Tractor.

Documentation:

Applications will be entertained on Agriculture Loan Application Forms. ACO and Branch Managers will conduct verifications as in vogue in other Agriculture Credit Schemes. All charge documents as per Lease Finance Tractor Scheme will be obtained along with 60 post dated cheques.


15. Demand Finance for Construction of Sheds and other Civil Works

Top

Purpose:   

Demand Finance Facility for construction of Sheds and other Civil Works for Livestock Farms.

Eligibility:           

The applicant should be having suitable land for construction of Dairy Farms.

Amount:               

70% of total cost of construction assessed by the Banks and PBA’s approved Surveyors.

Repayment:     

16 equal quarterly installments (Principal and Mark-up) after first year of grace period

16. LANDLESS PEOPLE FOR PURCHASE OF BUFFALOES FOR LIFE SUSTENANCE

Top

Purpose:

Lease Financial Facility for purchase of Milk producing Animals for landless people.

Eligibility:                

The applicant should be having space to keep animal domestically.

Amount:  

Maximum limit is Rs.50,000/- against only one personal guarantee acceptable to Bank.

Repayment:      

20 equal quarterly installments (Principal and Mark-up) in five years.

17. Lease Finance Facility to Dairy Farmers for Purchase of Milch Animals

Top

Purpose:       

Lease Finance Facility for purchase of Milk producing animals for Dairy Farming.

Eligibility:     

The applicant should be well experienced and having its own well constructed Live Stock Farm, Semen Production Unit.

Amount:    

In case of Lease Finance 80% of cost of assets (animals/equipment/vehicle/machinery) (Maximum Facility can be granted upto 50% of forced sale value of property)

Repayment: 

20 equal quarterly installments (Principal and Mark-up) in five years.


18. RUNNING FINANCE FACILITY FOR LIVESTOCK/POULTRY AND FISH FARMS

Top

Purpose: 

Running Finance Facility for purchase of animals, cost of feed, medicines and other running expenses of the Farm. Running Finance Facility will be provided for following type of Live stock

Farming:

1. Calves Fattening Farms 
2. Broilers Farming. 
3. Layer Farming.
4. Fish Farming. 
5. Semen Production Unit.

Eligibility:                

The applicant should be well experienced and having its own well constructed Live Stock Farm, Semen Production Unit.

Amount:                   

In case of Running Finance, upto 70% of total running expenses.

19. MODEL DAIRY FARMS (PDDC)

Top

Purpose: 

Lease Finance Facility to purchase Dairy Farm Machinery for up gradation of Farm infra structure.

Following items will be permissible.

1.      Farm cooling tanks.
2.      Fodder harvesters.
3.      Hay bailers.
4.      Animal cooling systems.
5.      Any other machinery/equipment advised by PDDC that is necessary for Farm up-gradation.

Eligibility:    

  • The applicant should be having his owned/leased Dairy Farm.
  • Recommended by PDDC.

Amount:  

Bank will provide Lease Finance between 70% to 90% of the cost of assets ( on case to case basis).

Repayment:

Equal monthly/quarterly installments (Principal only).


20. Clean Community/Group Financing (Production / Developments Loans) To Small Farmers Group under Kissan Dost Schemes

Purpose

The scheme will target farming community involved in small agri related activities i-e livestock, dairy, poultry, fisheries, horticulture etc

Eligibility

Small groups comprising of 5-10 small farmers of rural areas involved in agriculture, livestock, sericulture, apiculture or other agri related activities and cannot provide any collateral, acceptable to the bank. The eligibility criterion to become a member of small farmer groups


21. Kisan Dost Agree Finance Schemes

Purpose:

Provision of financial facility to farmers for purchase of inputs (Seed, fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides e.t.c).

Eligibility:

Resident Self Cultivator having Agriculture Land minimum 5 acres and maximum 50 acres. The applicant should not be defaulter of any other Bank and property should be free from any encumbrances 

Amount:

Maximum Rs.500,000/- according to per acre limit of the crop.


22. Kissan Dost Green House Finance Facility

At present, the agriculture business is the most rewarding avenue of the Bank of Punjab. Due to the increasing demand of off seasoned vegetables, we are rolling out a special scheme by the name of “GREEN HOUSE FINANCE FACILITY” for farmers who intend to establish Green House to grow off seasoned vegetables.

Purpose

The purpose of this loan is to encourage the farmers to establish green houses. This will also curtail the shortage of vegetables. Moreover the rate of vegetables will also decrease when they are in abundance in the markets. 

Types of Green House 
There are two types of green houses i-e Metallic Construction & Bamboo Construction 

Eligibility 
The applicant should be a genuine grower and should have a suitable land to establish a Green house. The applicant should not be a defaulter of any other Bank and the land under cultivation should be free from any encumbrance. 

Lease Finance Facility for Installation of Biogas Plant

Energy is the vital force powering business, manufacturing and the transportation of goods and services to serve world economies. In view of the shrinking energy sources and to keep the momentum of economic growth, Biogas amongst other sources can be one of the best and cheapest alternatives. Being an agrarian country, Pakistan is having abundant ingredients for biogas The use of this energy source can not only help in catering increasing energy requirements but can also reduce the environmental threats. Rotting food waste, animal and human sewage is converted into gas by anaerobic conversion in a digester and process results in the production of Marsh gas (Methane) which burns more cleanly and produces more energy with less emissions of carbon dioxide. Keeping in view the business prospects and to help village community in meeting their domestic energy requirements at cheaper rates, our Management has decided to introduce a new product for purchase and installation of Biogas Plant under Kissan Dost Lease Finance Facility for Installation of Biogas Plant on following

Terms & conditions:- 
Purpose 
The purpose of this scheme is to provide lease finance facility for purchase & Installation of Biogas Plant. 

Eligibility 
Applicant should be a Resident of the town/village where plant is to be installed Not a defaulter of any Financial Institution Having good market reputation


23. Kissan Dost Cold Storage Finance Facility


Purpose 
The purpose of this loan is to store fruits & vegetables even during off seasons. By establishment of Compartmentalized cold storage units, where perishable commodities can be stored for a longer duration of time period to obtain a year–round supply and reduce post harvest losses. 

Eligibility 

The applicant should be a genuine grower and should have a suitable land to establish a Compartmentalized Cold Storage. The applicant should not be a defaulter of any other Bank and the land under cultivation should be free from any encumbrance. 
Provision of Clean Credit Facility (production loans) under kissan dost agriculture finance scheme Through Syngenta Franchisees        

Purpose 

Provision of financial facility to farmers for purchase of farm inputs (pesticides only) through authorized Franchisees of M/s Syngenta (Pvt) Ltd. as per terms and conditions agreed upon between M/S Syngenta and The Bank of Punjab through MOU. 

Eligibility 

A genuine farmer/self cultivator of his owned or leased land. Not a defaulter of any Financial Institution. Recommendatory letter from franchisee of Syngenta. 

Amount 

Against personal guarantees maximum amount of finance would be RS: 500,000/- according to per acre limit of a crop as admissible under our regular Agriculture Finance Scheme for inputs. Against tangible collateral (Agriculture land, Urban property etc.) amount of finance would be determined by the cultivation of the farmer.

25. Kisan Dost Model Milk Collection Center             


Purpose: 

Lease Financial Facility to purchase the machinery and equipment for setting up a Model Milk Collection Centers. Following items will be permissible.
Farm cooling tanks.
Pickups and Mini Trucks.
Motorcycles for Milkmen.
Any other machinery/equipment advised by PDDC that is necessary for milk collection center.

Eligibility:

The applicant should have his own/rental place for collection centre.

Recommended by PDDC. 

Amount: 
Bank will provide Lease Finance Facility between 70% to 90% of the cost of assets (on case to case basis) 
Lease Finance facility for purchase of "Zarkaashat Drip Irrigation System" from m/s dadex eternit ltd. Under kissan dost aabiari finance scheme.
In order to overcome the shortage of water in the country as well as ensure adequate water supply for meeting the ever increasing demand of water for civic and agriculture use, our Bank has entered into an agreement with M/S DADEX ETERNIT LIMITED to make arrangements for facilitating supply of “ZarKaasht Drip Irrigation System” to farming community. For the purpose, a new product “Lease Finance Facility for Purchase of ZarKaasht Drip Irrigation System from M/s Dadex Eternit Ltd.” is being introduced under our regular Kissan Dost Aabiari Finance Scheme on the following terms & conditions:- 

Purpose 

The purpose of the scheme is to provide Finance Facility for purchase & installation of ‘ZarKaasht Drip Irrigation' 

26. System’ from M/s Dadex under our regular Kissan Dost Aabiari Finance Scheme. 


Eligibility 

Applicant should be a Resident/Self cultivator Applicant should not be a defaulter of any Financial Institution Applicant should have land free from all encumbrances to be offered as security 

Scheme for Controlled Sheds    

Purpose
The purpose of this scheme is to provide finance: For Construction of new Controlled Poultry Sheds For remodeling of existing Sheds in to Controlled Sheds For modernization/remodeling of existing sheds by replacing equipment machinery Import of Machinery/Equipments related to Controlled Sheds 

Eligibility 
A genuine farmer engaged in Agri related activities directly or indirectly Having a suitable land to erect Controlled Sheds Not a defaulter of any Financial Institution Having land free from all encumbrances to be offered as security

27. MEDIUM TERM DEMAND FINANCE FACILITY (D/F) 

Amount of Finance 
(for construction of Controlled Sheds for Poultry Farming) 70% of the cost of construction as assessed by PBA’s approved surveyor according to the proposed plan of construction.
