Black rot: Botryosphaeria obtuse
Symptoms:
  • Rot first appears on the calyx end of the fruit as a firm, black, metallic-like spot with concentric rings.
  • Typical decay spots are circular and medium brown
  • Reddish border and appear anywhere on the apple surface.

Management:

  • Treatment of fruits with linseed oil or mustard oil or castor oil
