RIBBED GOURD

Ribbed gourd having even number of raised ridges on its skin is likely to be sweeter and the one with odd number of ridges is likely to be bitter.

BITTER GOURD
  • Bitter gourd germinates faster and grows well when its seeds are soaked in milk for a day prior to sowing
CAULI FLOWER
  • To control diamond back moth in cauliflower neem oil is mixed with water @ 30 ml. /lit. of water and sprayed.
BEANS
  • Sow seeds behind the country plough for rainfed beans cultivation.
  • Soakbean seeds in water for few minutes, then mixing with wet red soil and wood ash and sowing seeds after drying under sun to prevent pest infestation during crop growth.
  • Dust of the fresh ash made immediately after burning the weeds over the pest attacked plants.
