Murungaikar

  • Grown in Ramnad areas and it is suitable for even very low rainfall periods.
  • Yield of murungaikar is 1000-1300 kg per acre in normal rain fed conditions (15-20 bags 1 bag 65 kg).
  • The crop is sown normally in the month of Aavani (August) and harvested in Markazhi (January). 
  • Goat manure and Urea alone are applied generally to the Murungaikar field.
