Uzhavarin Valarum Velanmai, the Tamil monthly magazine of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University is being published from the Directorate of Extension Education, TNAU, Coimbatore – 3 for the benefit of the farming community since 1975. From the month of January-2008 onwards, the Uzhavarin Valarum Velanmai magazine has been face lifted in its quality with printing of Multi Colour Insert that attracted more number of subscribers.

During the year 2007-08, eight special issues of Uzhavarin Valarum Velanmai viz., April-2007 as Education Special, May-2007 as Horticulture Special, July-2007 as Organic Farming Special, September-2007 as Agricultural Rural Management Special, October-2007 as Plant Protection Special, January-2008 as Seed Technology Special, February-2008 as Environmental Science Special and March-2008 as Bamboo Special  were prepared . As on October 2008, there are 5084 anuual subscribers and 5616 life subscribers.
