Deficiency Symptoms

• In the deficient plants, the tips of primary leaves become necrotic and narrow chlorotic bands develop around leaf margins.
• Tissues between the veins tend to form ridges.
• Terminal buds deteriorate and petioles break down.
• Primary leaves become soft and drop off.

Correction Measures

• Foliar spray of CaSO4 @ 1% (10g/lit) at fortnightly intervals for two times.
