Existing farmer clients & also the prospective farmers

Investment credit need and allied activities. Revolving Cash Credit for crops & for allied activities

2. CREDIT CARD KCC

Objectives:

  • Kisan Credit Card Scheme aims at providing need based and timely credit support to the farmers for their cultivation needs as well as non-farm activities and cost effective manner.
  • To bring about flexibility and operational freedom in credit utilisation.

Eligibility:

Existing farmer with good record or any farmer (even illiterate)

Purpose:

For crop/ harvest  and maintenance of machinery

Amount :

  • Minimum  Rs 2000/- no maximum amount.
  • 10% above scale of finance for crops

3. KISAN GREEN CARD

Top

Objective:

To cater to long term developmental Credit needs including consumption needs of the farmers..

Eligibility:

Farmers with good tract record of loan repayment (within 3 months from due date) for the last 3 yrs.

Purpose:

Long term developmental credit needs including consumption needs.

Amount:

5 times annual income or 50% of Mortgaged  land or 100% of liquid securities-Max. 5 lacs

4. AGRI GENERAL PURPOSE CREDIT CARD

Top

Objective:

To provide liquidity to meet any financial needs relating to Agricultural Investments or Consumption.

Eligibility:

Customers in rural and semi-urban areas, members of Self Help Groups and Joint Liability Groups 

Purpose:

For any genuine purpose

5. AGRI CLINIC

Top

Objectives:

  • To supplement the efforts of Government extension system 
  • To make available supplementary sources of input supply and services to needy farmers 
  • To provide gainful employment to agriculture graduates in new emerging areas in agricultural sector

Eligibility:

Agriculture graduates or graduates in horticulture, animal husbandry,  fisheries, dairy, vetnary, poultry, Pisciculture & other allied activities can apply for a loan under the scheme.

Purpose:

To set up Agri-clinic, Agri-Business  centers for input supply & services to  farmers.

An illustrative list of activities which can be financed under the scheme is given below :-

  • Soil and water quality cum inputs testing laboratories (with Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers)
  • Pest surveillance, diagnostic and control services
  • Maintenance, repairs and custom hiring of agricultural implements and machinery including micro irrigation systems (sprinkler and drip).
  • Agri Service Centres including the three activities mentioned above (Group Activity).
  • Seed Processing Units.
  • Micro-propagation through Plant Tissue Culture Labs and Hardening Units.
  • Setting up of Vermiculture units, production of bio-fertilisers, bio-pesticides, bio-control agents.
  • Setting up of Apiaries (bee-keeping) and honey & bee products' processing units.
  • Provision of Extension Consultancy Services.
  • Hatcheries and production of fish finger-lings for aquaculture.
  • Provision of livestock health cover, setting up veterinary dispensaries & services including frozen semen banks and liquid nitrogen supply.
  • Setting up of Information Technology Kiosks in rural areas for access to various agriculture related portals

Feed Processing and testing units.

  •  Value Addition Centres..
  •  Setting up of Cool Chain fro the farm level onwards (Group Activity).
  •  Retail marketing outlets for processed agri-products.
  •  Rural marketing dealerships of farm inputs and outputs

Any combination of two or more of the above viable activities along with any other economically viable activity selected by the Graduates, which is acceptable to the Bank.

Amount:

Maximum of Rs.10 lacs  for Individuals and Rs50 lacs for group of 5.

6. AGRI BIKE

Objective:

To Provide mobility for farmers by financing new mopeds/Scooters& motorcycles

Eligibility:

Farmers having a minimum of 3 acres of irrigated land or 5 acres of non-irrigated land with 3 yrs of good connection with us can apply for a loan under the scheme.

Purpose:

New mopeds/Scooters& motorcycles

7. AGRI LAND

Objective:

To finance Small and Marginal farmers for purchase of Agriculture land

Eligibility:     

Small & marginal farmers  with  5 acres of non irrigated land or 2.5 acres of irrigated land including the land under the scheme-share croppers also  can apply for a loan under the scheme.

Purpose:

For purchase of land or fragment holding in the village in a radius of 3 to 5 kms.

Amount:

Maximum of Rs. 2/-lacs

8. AGRI BUSINESS CONSULTANCY

With the Indian economy opening up to investment from foreign sources and the realization of the potential of the agricultural and agri-related sectors, IOB has introduced various consultancy services. The objective of this division of IOB is to foster and encourage the growth of all agriculture related businesses.

9. SAKTHI SCHEME FOR UPLIFTMENT OF DOWNTRODDEN WOMEN

Through this innovative scheme the bank has so far given vocational training to downtrodden women in the employment generating schemes:

Till December 2003 under this scheme 1478 women have been trained with an outlay of over Rs.11.86 lacs. All these women who have undergone vocational training have been gainfully employed.

The other avocation of training of the Trust includes screen printing, needle work, minor household repair, candle making, preparation of phenyl, dishing washing powder making, soap oil etc. targeting below poverty line women.

SAKTHI – IOB CHIDAMBARAM CHETTIAR MEMORIAL TRUST also plans to sponsor training for physically challenged women, shortly.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR WOMEN

To create awareness and to groom the entrepreneurial traits of educated unemployed women, our Bank is conducting Entrepreneurship Development Programme for Women under the aegis of Sakthi - IOB Chidambaram Chettiar Memorial Trust since as early 2000.


10. AGRICULTURAL JEWEL LOANS

This is a package designed for farmers to avail loan for Agricultural purpose against security of their gold jewellery. 

Eligibility: Individual farmers who own jewels and are engaged in Agricultural activities are eligible.

Quantum of Loan: You can contact our nearest branches for per gram rate of advance against gold ornaments.

Rate of Interest: 

Interest will be,
a) For loans up to Rs. 3 lacs : Base Rate +0.75 (before interest subvention)
b) For loans above 3 lacs : Base Rate +3.

Land Development 

Financial assistance for Land reclamation, Soil conservation measures and on farm development works like Land leveling, terracing, contouring, bunding, fencing etc.
 
Minor Irrigation 

Term Loans are extended for construction of wells, for deepening/renovating the existing wells and for boring in the existing dug wells to augment water supply.

Farm Mechanisation 

Financing for purchase of machinery/implements like Tractors, Power Tillers, seed drill, seed-cum-fertilizer drill, planters, power sprayers, seed cleaners, weed removers, power threshers, chaff cutters, cane crushers, harvester combines etc.   

Plantation / Horticulture Crops 

Term loans for cultivation of Coconut, Coffee, Tea and Rubber plantations, Floriculture, Vegetable and Fruit cultivation etc.

Loan for Allied Activities 

Credit facilities extended for activities related to dairy, poultry, duckery, rearing of goat and sheep, Fisheries etc.
