.  Thrips: Scirtothrips dorsalis, Frankliniella schultzei                
Symptoms of damage 

• Nymphs and adults lacerate the leaf and suck the oozing sap resulted in white patches on lower surface of the leaves.  
• In severe infestations, leaves become bronzed.
• Frankliniella schultzei  transmits peanut bud necrosis virus

Identification of the pest

• Nymphs: Yellow coloured.
• Adults: Black coloured with fringed wings.

Management

• Spray or apply any one of the following insecticides at fifteen days interval
• Imidacloprid 17.8 SL 50 ml/ ac
• Quinalphos 25 EC @ 560 ml/ac
• Quinalphos 1.5 DP @ 10 kg/ac
