Symptom of damage:

• Grubs feed on the secondary rootlets
• Adults cause irregular notching on the leaf margins

 Identification of the pest:

• Adult: Grey coloured weevil
• Larva – Grubs have four instars. Larval period - 55 – 70 days.
• Pupa – Pupation occurs in soil. Pupal period 23 - 33 days.
• Adult - Grey coloured weevil.

 Management:

• Apply Neem cake @ 500 kg/ha at the time of last ploughing.
