Mobilizing farmers for the training on Paddy Baler Demonstration at Sangamangalam

He involved in farming from his 18th year onwards. He owned two acres of land in which he cultivated paddy followed by pulses. He earned around Rs. 25,000 to 30,000/- every year through his farming activity.  

He started a non-governmental organization called “Dhaniya Foundation” in the year 2013. The purpose of this NGO is to transfer technologies to the farmers of Nagapattinam district. At present Dhaniya Foundation is collaborating with all departments working for agriculture and allied activities. Whenever the training organized by these departments, the foundation send its farmers for training. Apart from this the foundation provide training to the SHG members for accounts maintaining, leadership development etc.,

One of the trustees of the Dhaniya Foundation is a member of District Advisory Council. He regularly attends Farmers Grievance day conducted at collectorate every month and to represent the grievances of that area. The foundation also promotes herbal cultivation and alternative medicine.

He is the key person and supports the KVK, Sikkal to identify right farmers for its trial, training and technology demonstration. Through his support KVK, Sikkal demonstrated TANUVAS GRAND supplement to the farmers in Sangamangalam in the year 2015 which has great impact in that area.
