Programme

The conference consists of a plenary session, concurrent thematic sessions and a valedictory session. Plenary session will include a formal inauguration and keynote address , and felicitation of the best paper and poster winners.

Concurrent thematic sessions consist of oral presentations by the students. The oral presentations will take place in a smaller setting. This allows for a lot of interaction and opportunities to ask questions. Simultaneous sessions will be spread out over two days. The sessions will be divided into different categories to cover different topics and will be supervised by the students facilitated by an experienced faculty in that field. This will be culminated into corresponding poster session in the same venue in order to facilitate one-to-one interaction with the presenter. Following are the suggested concurrent thematic sessions.

Thematic areas

  1. Frequency and intensity of extreme weather events and socio-economic impacts.
  2. Impact of climate on pests and diseases of agricultural and horticultural crops.
  3. Impacts of climate variability and environment on physiological responses to agricultural and horticultural crops.
  4. Crop and varietal improvement, seed production and Biotechnological approaches to mitigate the climate change impacts on agricultural and horticultural crops.
  5. Farm mechanization for soil and moisture conservation and alternative energy sources to enhance the crop productivity, climate oriented Post harvest technology and management for agriculture and horticulture crops.
  6. Weather forecasting in climate risk reduction and agro advisory services for response farming, Extension tools to increase climate change awareness and Gender mainstreaming in climate change adaptation.

Valedictory session includes resolutions in light of the outcome of the concurrent sessions and will suggest a way forward for future research in agricultural science and technology to the students. Special awards of excellence will also be given to the students for meritorious presentations.

Call for Extended abstracts

Contributing papers are invited on the above themes (Oral and poster). Extended abstracts for Oral/Poster presentation should be in a maximum 250 words including the title, authors and address. Extended abstracts should be prepared in MS Word, Times New Roman, 12 font size and single space leaving 1" margin on the left and right sides of a page. The papers presented in the conference will be published, as extended summaries and selected research article will be peer reviewed and published as a book with ISBN, which will be released during the inaugural ceremony.The manuscript of the full length paper may be prepared as per the format of the Journal. An author can present only one paper.
